Violent Criminal Apprehension Team
VCAT handles high-risk warrants, violent felony suspects, and coordinated takedowns. Officers in this division focus on apprehension operations, tactical planning, and working alongside patrol when situations escalate beyond a standard response.
The Violent Criminal Apprehension Team is Carolina Law Enforcement's dedicated unit for situations that go beyond routine patrol. VCAT officers are trained to plan and execute warrant service, track violent felony suspects, and coordinate multi-unit takedowns when a scene requires focused apprehension expertise.
Members work closely with patrol, investigations, and command staff to ensure operations stay controlled, documented, and aligned with department policy. Expect structured briefing, clear roles on scene, and emphasis on communication under pressure.
VCAT is suited for officers who stay calm during dynamic calls, follow tactical direction, and want to specialize in high-risk law-enforcement operations within a professional roleplay environment.
